Subscribe to ROAM, win the summers of your childhood.

Article by · August 1, 2019 ·

Remember the summer holidays of your childhood, camped down by the beach or the river? By day you’d ride bikes, surf or swing off that rope into the creek. At night there’s be tinned pudding for desert and card games till past bedtime out the front of that great old caravan your family took everywhere. Well, we’re pretty much giving away the summers of your childhood if you subscribe to ROAM magazine this Christmas.

We’ve partnered with Camplify and Viscount Caravans to give away Vincent, our completely restored, 1977 Viscount Supreme caravan, plus up to $10,000 cash! Alternatively, if a beautiful old caravan isn’t for you, you could choose to win a $15,000 discount off a brand-new Viscount caravan. All you need to do is be subscribed, resubscribe or subscribe to ROAM magazine (in print or digital) and you’ll be in the draw instantly.

So, here’s the deal. For the next 12 months, we’re going to list Vincent on the peer-to-peer caravan hire platform Camplify (camplify.com.au), and you or anyone else can hire it out. Over the year, we’re going to put aside the profit we make on the hires (our earnings minus costs like cleaning, out-of-pocket maintenance, fees and relocation costs etc.) and at the end of the year, if you’re the winner and choose to take Vincent, you’ll also get the money he earns from being listed on Camplify. We’ll also give you a year’s listing on Camplify so you can keep him making you money if that’s what you want to do.

If an old caravan isn’t the right fit for you, don’t worry. We’ve partnered with Viscount Caravans to give away a $15,000 discount on a brand-new van. Viscount has been resurrected in Victoria, offering a simple, affordable and easy to use touring product ideal for the modern roamer. You’ll be able to choose any model you want and take 15 big ones off the price.

It’s easy to enter. If you’re subscribed to ROAM, you already are and you’ve got one entry for each issue you’ve already paid for within the competition period (up to six entries). If you resubscribe, you’ll also be entered, and you’ll get one entry for each issue your subscribe to (so six entries for a year-long subscription, 12 entries for two years, or one entry for each magazine paid for on the Pay-As-You-Go option). If you aren’t already subscribed, then just like re-subscribers, you’ll get an entry for each issue you pay for – it couldn’t be easier!

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to www.timetoroam.com.au/subscribe and grab a subscription now. You can subscribe to our print versions, or download the ROAM mag app and subscribe online! Or check out www.timetoroam.com.au/vincent for the latest stories on where he’s been, how much he’s earning on Camplify and where you can find out more about hiring him.

AU18+ only. Ends 30/6/20 11:59pm AEST. T&Cs apply

Trying to figure out how the bunk bed gets together, have two kids and will come in handy but how?

Hey Ray, the top of the backrest is hinged and folds up. Two stainless steel poles slip into place to hold it up and the backrest cushion becomes the top bunk’s mattress. Takes about 1 minute to do. Originally, the bunk folded up and over the front windows to keep it out of the way, but it’s been changed so the windows aren’t blocked when the bunk isn’t being used.

I truly dream of living in one of these caravans with my family.
My two little children, hubby and I would happily travel the country and live in this little baby..
