Winter is coming, but the colder weather doesn’t mean you need to hibernate or head for sunnier climes. Down south the action is only just getting started. The Canberra Truffle Festival is gearing up to showcase the best of the Capital Region’s favourite fungus.

Regarded as one of the best truffle regions in Australia, Canberra and the Capital Region will showcase the truffle with two months of gourmet events – tastings, degustation menus, master cooking classes, truffle hunts, markets and more.

The Truffle Festival launches on the winter solstice and continues through to mid-August, running parallel with the harvest of the Black Perigord truffle. Last year’s event featured more than 350 individual events held across a region over 200km wide.
