New campground in South West WA

WA Environment Minister Albert Jacob has officially opened a new campground and upgraded facilities at Logue Brook, 130 kilometres south of Perth.

The new campground includes five camping loops with 126 new camp sites, along with 2.5 kilometres of internal roads, barbeque shelters, and fire rings at each site.

The boat ramp and trailer parking area also underwent significant upgrades, making it easier for people to launch and retrieve boats.

The $3 million project was part of the Government’s Parks for People initiative, which aims to provide affordable holiday options for families.

Lake Brockman Tourist Park is set to manage the campground under a two-year trial community partnership agreement with the Department of Parks and Wildlife.
