Nomads looking to give back on their travels are in luck, with a new e-club called the Rotary Nomads bringing traditional Rotary clubs into the digital age.

Greg Fallon, President of Rotary Nomads Australia, says geography is no boundary to members of the new club, which meets online every Wednesday.

“We started as a satellite of Jindalee Rotary Club, but we grew and expanded so quickly we’ve now become a club in our own right,” he says.

“The purpose of the Rotary Nomads is to travel and assist other Rotary clubs and service organisations, helping with events and fundraising wherever we can.”

Fallon says only a couple of members live on the road full time, with the majority simply people who like to travel and want to give back to communities.

“Its great fellowship when you’re on the road,” he says. “If a club needs a hand, whether it’s fundraising or repainting a community hall, we travel to help.”
