Meet the self-inflating RV

Meet the ScarabRV, a new ultra light camping trailer which could potentially eliminate awkward campsite arguments for good.

Though there are other self-inflating tents on the market, this one is different.

For starters the ScarabRV comes in its own portable trailer with sealed fabric floor and storage compartments, and can be towed behind a motorbike or car.

Making life easier for tent-pole challenged campers, the ScarabRV opens and self-inflates in less than a minute, and deflates and closes in about a minute.

The dry weight is approx. 136kg, and has a gross weight of approx. 259kg.

Designed by Mike and Mary Setzer, the project was recently put on crowd sourcing website Indiegogo but failed to reach its target of $350,000.

The Setzers first began their project back in 2007, and have since put more than $100,000 and countless hours into seeing their dream come to fruition.

Hopefully the duo finds the right investor to bring the product to market.
